Today's Marketing Cookie - The Power of Enthusiasm

Today's Marketing Cookie - Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world.

"Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world. It beats money, power and influence."

Today's fortune came from Moonie Garcia of Mansfield, MA. Moonie is a best-selling author and illustrator of the "Sela" children's book series. I should mention that she's also my best friend, and she is my wife. I may be biased, but I think she is wonderfully inspiring and you will too when you follow her on twitter: @moonie_garcia

Today's Marketing Cookie is about the power of enthusiasm.

It has been said that, "enthusiasm is the divine particle in our composition", and I believe it to be true. Enthusiasm is a power source greater than us, that only we can generate. Even without professional skill, you could accomplish amazing things, if only you have enough enthusiasm and courage to try. We all have the potential to exercise enthusiasm, yet we do not always choose turn it on... but when we do, we have the power to change the world.

Here's how it works:

When you choose to switch and activate your divine particle, your enthusiasm will not only drive you to success, but it will also pull others toward you like a super electro-magnet. Your enthusiasm, when activated, glows like a flood light on a hill, breaking through the darkness. When you walk into a room, your enthusiasm radiates all around you and draws people to your cause. Your energy permeates from what you say, what you do, and how you do it, and immediately captures the interest of everyone around you... and then it happens.

People become attracted to you, they plug in to your energy, and activate their power of enthusiasm. As each individual power source is switched on and becomes aligned with yours, you become unstoppable and anything you wish to accomplish becomes possible. As today's fortune says, "Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world. It beats money, power and influence."

Right on, Myles. Enthusiasm does go a long way indeed in fueling our personal and professional engines. Have an enthusiastic great day. Tom

Thank you Tom! Enthusiasm and ambition go a long way to help you reach your dreams when the going gets tough. In the sage words of Elvis, “Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine".

It may go a long way but it certainly does not go all the way. I see a bit of false hope here.

Thank you for the feedback Annie! I'll admit, I'm a wholesale subscriber of the words of Henry Ford who said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right.” If my optimism has overshot the promise of possibility, it's because I've personally experienced miracles being generated from little more than willpower. For every great accomplishment I've enjoyed, I've also had my equal share of failures. In which case, you're right to say I was unable to go "all the way". However, my enthusiasm for success did not wilt at the first road block, and my ambition persists. My failures may have taught me much more than my wins, and I have high hopes that they will serve me through every step of the journey.
