Today's Marketing Cookie is about letting your heart be your guide.

Albert Einstein once said, "Logic will get you from A to B, but imagination will take you everywhere." If your exacting logic and endless imagination are the means for getting you somewhere, your heart is the compass that gives you direction. Your heart sees what is invisible to logic and your imagination will find a way to realize it.

When you follow the desires of your heart, such as saying, "I do" with someone you love, even though neither of you have a real job or any place to live, such a choice makes the brain say, "Huh?" Despite the amount in which logic disagrees with such heart-driven choices, it will rise to the occasion, team up with your imagination, and find the best way forward through the reality of your newly invented sticky situation.

If logic had its way, it would be solely responsible for all decisions, and would make them on your behalf with surgical precision. Unfortunately, sterile logic, acting without the compassion of the heart is too idealistic. While logic may sort out the best moves for you based on safety, ease of use, and total upside, such decisions overlook the excitement found in taking risks, the benefits of hard work, and overall happiness.

When you make a decision based only on logic, such as, "I took this lousy job to make more money", you may soon realize that no amount of money is worth being unhappy in your work every day.  On the other hand, taking a lower paying position, simply because you love it, will likely yield greater returns in the long run. Don't worry too much about the details, your logic and imagination will get to work right way to figure out ways to make ends meet. Ensuring survival is what they do. So, I recommend you do as today's fortune says, "Make decisions from the heart and use your head to make it work out."
